【Announcement】Remote Working and Learning Continue Until the End of the 2021 Spring Semester

Release Date 24 May 2021   Updated Date 8 Jul 2021 PM 14:46

*The Level 3 Covid-19 alert has been extended to Jul 26, announced by CECC on Jul 8.*

As the COVID-19 alert was raised to Level 3 nationwide on May 19, NKUST decided on May 21 to postpone the remote education and working to the end of the 2021 spring semester to protect our community as well as to comply with the containment measures announced by the Ministry of Education.

NKUST was the first university that conducted working and learning remotely. More than half of our faculty members and staff were sent to work remotely on May 17, and half of them are still working on campus to keep administrative tasks on going.

After experimenting with this model for a week, it’s good to see everyone striving their best to get over the challenges while working, teaching, or learning online. NKUST will continue this hybrid in-office and remote working model until Jul 12.

Stay home and stay safe. We will get through this together.

Since the atmosphere has been tense these days, President Yang says: “As long as we stay at home as possible as we can, we believe that the hardest days of remote learning and working will end soon. Stay home and stay safe. We will get through this together.”
